How is this different from ChatGPT?

Do I have to learn Kansai-ben?
No. Standard Japanese is the default. Kansai mode is there if you're heading to Osaka or Kyoto — or you just love how it sounds. You can change your preferences in the app.
What level do I need?
Tako is especially helpful if you know some Japanese but need more speaking practice. Phrase examples and reading support help you get started, and you can ask Tako to slow down or use simpler Japanese.
Is my conversation private?
Your messages, audio and transcripts are processed to provide AI conversation. Full conversations and raw audio are not included in server operational logs.
